Dear Student and Parent; Loganville Middle School Art Club is open for member enrollment. Any student may join and participate in club activities if the student has parent approval and maintains a good behavioral report. Any student, who has been referred to the office for disciplinary reasons more than twice, will be asked to withdraw from membership. If a student is failing two or more subjects, a review of continued membership will be decided between teacher, club Sponsor and parent. Maintaining the best possible situation for the student is a priority. Some of our upcoming activities are fundraisers involving face painting at school athletic events, school dances, and at local carnivals and festivals. We will window paint for upcoming holidays and participate in other community service projects such as food drives and decorating projects. We will promote “Craft Time” an after school creativity social, making crafts. This year I would like the club to continue working on an Art Gallery web page started last year. Also, the club will Sponsor the traditional LMS Art Show and provide displays around the school and community. A field trip is planned and we close the year with a club party! Meetings will be held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 2:20 until 3:30. There will be times participants will need to stay after school other days of the week and for longer periods. Other activities may require members to travel to off campus destinations. Members are asked to participate as much as possible to enable a successful club. Parental support is very important. If you, a parent or guardian can assist in any way, please make a note to me on the bottom portion. My goal is to provide an industrious environment for students to learn the duties and responsibilities to maintain a successful club and to have fun exploring personal talents and art experience.
